Corporate functions

Whether you join us in IT or PA & Administration, you’ll keep the wheels turning.

Without this area, we simply wouldn’t function.

This is the part of our organisation that looks after our entire infrastructure. It’s also the part that performs the administration essential to our day-to-day running. As such, we need a wide range of talents to work here – everyone from skilled technologists and project managers to PAs and administrators.

Whichever area you choose to work in, and however you contribute to our business, we can offer you a fulfilling, rewarding career. As well as exciting and varied work, we offer excellent training and have a strong culture of promoting from within. Put simply, we apply the same level of care to the development of our people as we do to our properties.

Information technology

Whether you’re maintaining our technology or transforming it, you’ll ensure that everyone in British Land has the tools to do their job. We see technology as a source of competitive advantage, so we’re constantly evolving it. For example, recent projects have seen our teams develop intelligent buildings, cloud services and innovative digital marketing services.

Depending on your skills and expertise, you can join us in any number of areas: Service desk – providing day-to-day technical support to staff; Applications and infrastructure – developing solutions to improve business capabilities and efficiency; Security – managing cyber-related security risks; PMO – managing technology change projects and programmes; or Strategy– designing technology strategies for corporate, building development, marketing & asset management activities.

PA and administration

Whether you join us a PA or team assistant, we’ll look to you to provide a seamless and efficient service to the business. In return, we’ll offer you an environment quite unlike any other. We’re a business with around 250 employees, so you’ll never feel like a cog in the machine. Instead, you’ll have real responsibilities and regular exposure to senior management from the outset. You’ll also find yourself playing a small (but significant) part in some of the most exciting development projects in the UK.
